Only 42 trillion Nanometres to Go

3DLABS team to run the London marathon to fight Cancer

London, England 4th February 2008: Egham-based 3DLABS Semiconductor announces that three of its team members will be taking part in the 2008 Flora London Marathon. Tim Lewis and his colleagues will tackle the 26.2 mile course from Greenwich Park to The Mall on 13th April 2008, in support of the UK's leading cancer charities, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and the Institute of Cancer Research.

"We're used to nanometres rather than miles, but however you measure it its a long way," said Tim Lewis, marketing director "Most people know someone who has been touched by Cancer and we are pleased to be raising money for charities that do such fantastic research at the cutting edge of science. Nearly 44,000 women are diagnosed with Breast Cancer each year in the UK. That's a lot of mothers, wives and children whose lives are affected and we welcome any donations that can help these charities find treatments and cures."

All money raised will go towards supporting the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Centre and the Institute of Cancer Research.
